Inspiration:
It comes in a whole quiet spectrum — deep spinach green, celadon, pale grey, warm ivory, milky white — each tone formed by slightly different mineral conditions over thousands of years underground. Most people pick one tone and stay there. This bracelet collects them all.
The beads are arranged in a gradual ombre, moving through the natural range of Hetian jade from one end of the bracelet to the other — not a dramatic shift, more like watching the light change over a landscape over the course of an afternoon. Smooth, silky to the touch in the way nephrite always is, with that deep internal glow that no other stone quite replicates.
Gold vermeil accents (thick gold coated on sterling silver) sit between the jade, warm against the cool stone, the way gold and jade have always looked good together — which is to say, for about five thousand years.
